Caitlin Russo, also known as Jass Bianchi, was impacted by two contrasting environments: Sandy Hook, Connecticut, and Yonkers, New York. These two cultures have shaped her distinctive approach to music, business, and advocacy. Jass has always been a writer. At a young age, she fell in love with hip-hop’s inherent capacity to express reality, and began using music into her poems. In High-School, her passion for writing led her to Connect Post Teen Journalist, while her passion for music led her to start her successful DJing business.

In 2002, Her extensive volunteer effort earned her a scholarship to Mount-Saint Vincent College in The Bronx, where she continued her community commitment by volunteering as a youth mentor at the Nepperhan Community Center in Yonkers, New York.

In 2006, Bianchi solicited her music to record labels and received multiple offers, including one from a Sony Records subsidiary. When they demanded that she lose weight and drop out of school, she chose to decline all offers and concentrate on her academics . Instead, she interned at Koch Records in New York City, a ground-breaking music label that was among the first to focus on the independent music market. As an intern at this company, she worked on social media management, fan generation, and advertising for internationally renowned companies such as Nora Jones, The Wiggles, Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang, and Dipset. At this time she also became the General Manager of WMSV Radio, her collegiate radio station.

In 2008, Bianchi released her first internationally acclaimed mixtape “Poetic Authority” in which she self-recorded and co—produced. Later, in 2009, Bianchi earned a marketing director position with Dick Clark’s United Stations Radio Networks, where she developed the marketing for multimillion-dollar accounts for the radio shows of Alice Cooper, Mark McGrath, Tone Loc, and Donny Osmond. During this time, she was contracted to provide VoiceOver work for radio bits “Carmen Calls” and “War of the Roses” which was featured on national radio. She ultimately grew tired of sleeping beneath studio desks and chose to follow her ambition of forming a Berklee band by relocating to her Cousin’s couch in Boston. This action landed her the position of Marketing Director at a local music and dance school, where she earned her “Berklee Education” here.

From 2011-2015, Bianchi and her band HOLi MOLi toured the Northeast. Bianchi opened for renowned hip-hop acts such as Cormega and Lady 6. In 2013, Bianchi hosted “Our Town”- an event that raised money for Sandy Hook EMT Responders.In 2015, she was offered a job as the Music Marketing Consultant for the Boston Saengerfest Men’s Chorus, a 50-plus member male chorus to assist in marketing their Royal Albert Hall UK performance. Consequently, she founded her media marketing agency, Color In Sound.

In 2016, Bianchi established the Northeast Youth Music & Arts Festival, a 10-Stage festival that featured over 300 young New England performers. Following the festival, she acquired grant funding to build two music programs; “Creative Equals” a program that promotes LGBTQ awareness and acceptance amongst the youth, and “Sound Off” a music program for adults with disabilities.

In 2017, Bianchi worked alongside the Boston Private Industry Council on developing “The Lost Tapes,” a music project designed to boost job acquisition among Boston’s at-risk youth.

In 2019, in appreciation of her lyrical accomplishments, Los Angeles based- Artemis Film Festival- Women in TV & Music Awards presented her song “One of the Boys” with the Best Song Award. In this same year, she was hired as a marketing consultant for the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health and Network of Care Massachusetts. To date, Jass Bianchi’s agency, Color In Sound, has booked music for over one thousand events to date and has consulted and educated over one hundred independent musicians of various ages and genres, ranging from local independent musicians to Grammy-winning clientele. Bianchi has served as a music professional for a variety of festivals, events, performances, competitions, and panels, and she has spoken at college regarding music business. She has been featured on national and international radio. Jass has also been featured on Thisis50.com, RealHipHopForever, UK Hip-Hop, BReal.tv, and Wordplay Magazine. She is currently engaged as a Marketing and Advertising Consultant with Sumter Opera House and the Tony-nominated composer Peter Link of Watchfire Media on the development of the musical broad way podcast entitled “Rosemary and Thyme”. Whenever she lends herself to a project, she imparts authenticity and authority with her resonant tone and professional demeanor
