FM Radio Play

What are FM Radio Stations considering to even get to be accepted for consideration? Well, let’s take Hot 100 Jamz submission requirements into consideration.

They are as follows; “If you are to submit your music to Hot 100 Jamz in consideration for airplay, there are some guidelines which you have to follow:

  • All music submissions must be of the highest audio quality and developed to perfection. This means no cheaply/background noise recorded vocals and thin mixes.
  •  Submissions must be tailored to the radio waves – no offense, profanity or obscenity allowed in this edited version. Let your creative side take over and unleash a track that’s sure to entertain without offending any ears! The Carter Broadcast Group has to follow the
    FCC 0(0%)
  •  This is why you don’t leave a music studio without a clean version- and if you do- this is why you don’t leave a studio without all of your studio sessions.
  • With performance rights for our stations in consideration of musical work, the Carter Broadcast Group holds non-dramatic public performance licenses with
    ASCAP 1(12.5%)
    BMI 0(0%)
  • SESAC  0(0%)
  • Your music must be registered with one of these organizations.  If not, your music will be disqualified for any consideration of airplay. This is why we recommend registering with a PRO. 
  • The Carter Broadcast Group streams Hot 103 Jamz over the internet, by submitting music for consideration, submitting entities and individuals represent and warrant that submitted music has been registered with
    SoundExchange
  • 3(37.5%)
  • . Not a member of Sound Exchange? Don’t stress – you can still give KPRS-FM permission to stream your music, provided that you hold the necessary rights and grant them on a non-subscription basis. This is why we help our artists register with the proper royalty-collecting entities.
  • Your music must be copyright 0(0%)
  • This is why we help our artists with the copyright process.
  • For airplay detection, your music must be registered with BDS 1(12.5%)
    Mediabase 2(25%)
  • This is why we help our artists register with the proper airplay detection organizations.
  • Music submitted will not be returned. 
  • Carter Broadcast Group does not sell or barter access to its programmers. 
  • One music single can be submitted via mp3 format only. If you submit more than one single, your submission will be considered spam and automatically disqualify any consideration for review. This is why we advise our artists to read all submission requirements prior to submitting.
  • If submitting a CD single, it must have a label including artist name, song title, contact name, contact phone number email address. CD single must be mailed to:

  • Only ONE song from an artist can be submitted.
  • By submitting a song, you warrant that the song is your original work, you own any and all rights in it, and it does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third parties.

Hot 103 Jamz willingness to accept submissions does not imply or guarantee airplay or any feedback.  All decisions are made by our Hot 103 Jamz programming department, with possible additional input from local sales, streaming shares and views and other third-party research.

Programming decisions and music selections are made on a non-discriminatory basis.

Please understand due to the volume of submissions, you will only get a response from Hot 103 Jamz, if there is interest in or questions regarding the one submitted song (in other words, we’re apologizing in advance that a majority of submissions will receive no response at all from Hot 103 Jamz due to the sheer number of submissions we receive).
